The Cabot School District is proud to announce Cabot Panthers Head Football Coach Scott Reed will also take over as the new athletic director. The Cabot School Board approved the recommendation in a special school board meeting, Monday, May 6th.

Superintendent Dr. Thurman is excited for Coach Reed to serve in a dual role as head football coach and athletic director. “Coach Reed truly understands the impact that a high quality athletic program can have on our school, community, and our student-athletes. He is a role model and is absolutely the right person to lead our athletic program.”

The district will be hiring two assistant athletic directors to work under the leadership of Coach Reed. Current Assistant Athletic Director Kelly Spencer will return to the classroom, a decision Coach Spencer discussed with Dr. Thurman months ago.

Current Athletic Director Rob Coleman will begin working with Coach Reed on his transition immediately. You may recall, Coach Coleman is returning to his love of coaching as an assistant football coach under Coach Reed.
