Cabot Junior High football teams performed very well this season, pulling in third (North) and fifth (South) places in conference.

Cabot Junior High South’s quarterback Kyler Carmack wore the traditional number two for the Panthers and led the offense with running back Braydon Morse the backs that JHS has made a dangerous backfield that they are famous for.

Cabot Junior High North Panthers were led by quarterback Tyler Gee to an 8-2 regular season. Both football teams have made statements in their run and pass games striving and making major improvements this season. Cabot South, coached by Roy Brown, Lee Melder, and Cody Perrin, players are learning to build character and a strong work ethic. North players have had one of their best seasons, coached by Danny Spencer, Brock Bunting, and LJ Tarrant, and they have embraced the grind throughout their season.

North came off three blow out wins with a 20-0-win vs Conway Blue, 40-7 vs LR Catholic win and a 44-14-win vs Russellville, while their last loss came weeks ago in a close 20-14 loss to the North Little Rock Charging Wildcats.

South had two consecutive losses but turned it around very quickly as they followed a four game win streak of their own beating Conway White 14-13, destroying Russellville 60-14, coming out on top of Catholic 26-13, and defeating Conway Blue 14-0. Both sides of Cabot played phenomenal football this year.

Both teams had an intense match up Halloween night as North/South played each other. The South Panthers were 6-3 in season and the North Panthers 7-2. Panther fans, students, and parents were in for a special treat on the football field as atmosphere was all about CABOT!

In spite of the game being titled a friendly rivalry, both sides played great and represented our school well. Next year some of those future teammates will be playing on the same field, wearing the same jerseys arm in arm as they will be playing for the Panthers High School team.
